STORY

Lightness is positively necessary in modern design; but there is still something what weight gives in terms of stabilization. Stabilization is another form of relaxation. Relaxation is not something that can always be attained physically but also visually. Inspired by a zen pebble tower, Sol is a project of balancing weight, the concentration of weight, the placement of weight, the propping of weight, and the psychological effects of weight. The family of Sol is designed in three different tabletop sizes and heights : occasional coffee, dining, and cocktail.
